Salutations.

The world is in disarray. This is a simple, sad, and inescapable fact. Recently I came to accept the fact that I am only one person, and no amount of wishful thinking on my part will fix the world, let alone anyone in it.

At this point I could insert a "YOU MUST MAKE A DIFFERENCE THROUGH YOUR ACTIONS!" speech. But I won't do that, because chances are, you know that already. Instead, I'll tell you a little about me.

I am young, relatively. I live in a small house, in a small town, in a big world with bigger problems. I have defunct hearing in one ear, and as a result, listening has become one of my favourite past-times. If I don't know you, chances are I'd like to, and if I do, chances are I'd like to know you more.

My idea, this idea that you see right now, occurred to me when I saw a horrid piece of 'art' on the door of a toilet cubicle. It was a black-marker drawing of the female genitalia, and as I looked at it, I thought "Is this what the world has become?" This horrid, two second drawing ultimately lead to what I'm starting today.

Every week, I hope I will be able to share with you a thought, or an idea of my own. I am no preacher. And, despite my name, I am no wise man. However, at the moment, words are the only tool I have, and in this world, there is a lot that needs fixing.

So to you, the person sitting where-ever you are atop this ever spinning rock, I say thank you. Thank you for visiting, thank you for listening, and thank you for being who you are.

And of course, have a fantastic day.

Love from the Wise Young Man.
